Why SilverLite?

SilverLite Trailers, Inc. is a small company with a big heart. When you look to SilverLite for your trailer needs, you have the advantage of working with a smaller sized company dedicated to each and every customer. They don't treat customers like a number, but take pride in the relationships (and often friendships) that result from working together.

Construction: SilverLite Trailers, Inc. prides itself on their quality of construction. Their entire trailer, from the frame to upholstery and cabinetry, is built and installed on-site at their headquarters and factory in Springfield, OR. The benefit of having the entire building and construction process taking place in one location is that you are guaranteed that all components will work and fit together perfectly. The majority of manufacturers send out their living quarters or sections of their trailers to off-site contractors, meaning that the components aren't made together, which can lead to problems or malfunctions. When you order a SilverLite Trailer you can be assured that your trailer will be made completely on-site by their skilled team. You can even come for a tour of the factory if you are in the area!

Customization: Because their trailers are made on-site, they have an increased ability to customize to meet your needs. They have accommodated requests to modify the horse or stock area, tack rooms and living quarters based on the specific customer. For horse or stock areas, they have a large variety of custom options such as reversed slant for the stalls, curb side feed doors, escape doors with ramps and removable wheel chocks to make the trailer a horse or motorcycle unit. For their living quarters, they have incorporated different types of furniture like side tables, barrel chairs and custom sofas into the floor plan. They've added storage with additional wardrobes, linen closets and cabinetry. SilverLite can work with your electronic or appliance needs with flat-screen televisions, stereos and swivel TV stands. If you have a specific request, give us a call and we'll work with you to design a one-of-a-kind trailer.

Warranty: All new SilverLite Trailers come with a 10-year Limited Structural Warranty. Any structural issue like the welding and frame is under warranty for a decade.

Standard FeaturesSilverLite takes pride in their fit-and-finish craftsmanship and attention to detail. Take a look at some of their specialty standard features below:

  • One-piece aluminum roof: SilverLite Trailers uses a one-piece aluminum roof for improved water resistance. They don't use composite materials because they believe the all aluminum one-piece design is the best choice for quality, durability and leak resistance.

  • Welded axles: SilverLite welds the axles to the frame of the trailer for safety and for improved tracking and alignment. Their axles are rubber torsion suspension axles to help with cushioning bumps, pot holes or rough spots in the road with less bouncing. The rubber torsion suspension works independently for each wheel, which means that road impact that affects one side of the trailer aren't transferred to the other side. This results in both a smoother ride and less wear on the horse, trailer, tow vehicle and driver.

  • Notched rear rubber dock bumper: SilverLite pays special attention to your animal's safety by notching the 3" rear rubber dock bumper so that the rear door latch and cams are recessed to prevent injury by a hoof catching during loading or unloading. This type of attention to detail is what has made SilverLite a name to be trusted in the industry.

  • Smooth aluminum interior: All of their seams are smoothed out to avoid injury from sharp edges. They take the extra time to make sure your animal's safety is the number one priority at SilverLite Trailers.

  • Recessed roof vents: SilverLite Trailers recesses their roof vents to prevent animals from catching a sharp edge or hurting themselves. There is one vent per stall for air flow and circulation.

  • Built-in travel grills: They make sure your animal can't stick their head out of the window and risk injury during transit by building travel grills on all of our drop-down feed doors.

  • Flooring: SilverLite features a 1/8" aluminum flooring supported on 4" I-beams with 9" centers for incredible strength and durability. Look under "their" trailer - SilverLite's I-beams are bigger and placed closer together, this means your floor is stronger, safer and will wear better than the competition. In addition to placing the I-beams closer, they also run two flat bar straps under the I-beams to prevent twisting.

  • Hold-opens: All of the exterior doors come with a hold-open to prevent movement that could spook an animal during loading. If a door doesn't have hold-opens, it can swing around in the wind and could even injure someone - or an animal.

  • Gooseneck structure: SilverLite employs an A-frame hitch that utilizes the superior strength of powder-coated steel to tie the hitch, gooseneck deck, lower bunk wall, and landing gear into “the best darn gooseneck in the industry.” Take a look at what is out there and we feel you will agree.
